The family of Robert Bob Holland Jr., has confirmed his passing on December 22, 2021.
But his true legacy is the impact he was able to have on so many. He had many friends on both sides of the aisle, but as said by a dear friend: "Robin was a true lion of the Democratic Party. Robert Steven Holland, age 82, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Mr. Holland was born in Dallas, where he lived most of life, on July 20, 1930, and is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years JoAnne, his parents Robert B. and Artie Lee Holland, and his son-in-law Mike Dorman, and is survived by his wife of 21 years Mary Holland and his four children, 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His three grandchildren, Miles, Kayla and Maya, became the center of his life and he never missed the chance to cheer them on from the lacrosse and soccer sidelines. Surviving are three daughters, Pamela (Mike) Adkins of Pekin, Judi Brookhart of Quincy and Michelle Waldrop of Lima; one son, Rev. He also enjoyed fishing and taking pride in his yardwork. Bob was an active member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, as a Sunday school teacher, and the chairman of the churchs building and grounds committee.
